To develop information technology for patient-centric, post-acute care digital healthcare delivery and tracking system
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – March 1, 2016 – IDS, a cloud computing technology firm specializing in health information management services, announced today Catholic Health Services (CHS), the largest post-acute care provider in the southeastern United States, has selected IDS to implement next generation, high-tech initiatives for its real-time clinical data management and healthcare services.
“We came to understand the opportunity present in the marketplace for data management solutions in navigating the new bundled payment system brought about by the ACA, while at the same time realizing the wealth of knowledge and experience we have developed as an organization,” said James Ball, COO, CHS. “Catholic Health Services’ history of excellent patient outcomes, combined with robust analytics across the continuum, uniquely positions us to partner with acute care systems in our community to improve patient care. We are excited to work with IDS as our innovative technology partner in developing all the vital elements of a dynamic healthcare information management system.”
IDS will work with CHS to develop a cloud-based data warehouse supplementing it with business intelligence and decision support tools with the intent of improving organization-wide communications and collaboration. In support of this, IDS will assemble workflow processes, data interfaces and an online portal to give healthcare providers real-time access to integrated healthcare information, including clinical, administrative and financial data, drawn from numerous software systems. The new infrastructure expands the use of automation, analytics, event-driven notifications and mobility. The model, based on IDS’ real-time health system, is a transformational design that allows healthcare delivery organizations to evolve into digital, more responsive systems, enabling them to adapt to changing care delivery requirements and realize significant efficiencies throughout the enterprise.
“We are proud to join forces with such a forward-thinking healthcare organization,” said IDS CEO Yaniv Dagan. “CHS clearly sets a high bar like no other post-acute and home health provider. By adopting advanced technologies using AbbaDox as a cloud computing platform for patient care tracking and business intelligence, they can reengineer operations to improve transition of care, reduce hospital re-admissions, address compliance issues, propel service to new heights, and thrive in a competitive landscape.”
